This is such a cool learning tool! My son is still too young and likes to just smash the buttons but occasionally will observe while I take photos of things and gets excited when it "talks". I definitely have recalled a few Chinese words that I've forgotten about. It's a great learning tool that grows with the child. My husband wants to use it to learn Chinese as well!
La petite caméra Dex est vraiment une excellente surprise. Elle permet à l'enfant de prendre une photo d'un objet, puis de lui dire ce que c'est : parfait pour apprendre de nouveaux mots en s'amusant !
Le fonctionnement est très simple, l'enfant comprend vite comment l'utiliser, et la traduction se fait rapidement. La caméra est légère, solide et parfaitement adaptée aux petites mains. C'est à la fois un jouet et un vrai outil d'apprentissage.
Mon enfant adore se promener dans la maison pour "scanner" tout ce qu'il voit, et je trouve ça génial : il apprend sans s'en rendre compte.
Je recommande vraiment cette caméra Dex pour développer le vocabulaire, la curiosité et l'autonomie des petits !

So far I (the mother) had so much fun taking pictures and learning new language haha. I have not showed my child yet as I am keeping it for her Christmas present.
We are moving to Germany next year and this will be SUCH a great tool not just for her but the whole family to learn German.

Amazing educational toy that covers all major languages. The scans are spot on when it comes to identifying the object and learning the words. My only suggestion is, rather than four different types of Mandarin Chinese, there should be a Cantonese translation option as well. Hong Kong has a huge population of immigrants whose children are now in the US that could use some help learning their family's language!
